Healthy Spiced Nut Recipe

With the holidays right around the corner, this spiced nut recipe is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! What’s more is that nuts can help with your weight loss goals with their combination of healthy fat and protein. This delicious spiced nut recipe provides the perfect guilt-free indulgent snack this holiday season!

Ingredients: 

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric 
  • ½ teaspoon paprika 
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt 
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger 
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 2 tablespoons olive or coconut oil 
  • 2 cups raw nuts like pecans, walnuts, almonds or cashews 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the spices, add oil and mix until smooth.
  3. Add the nuts to the bowl and mix until the nuts are evenly coated with the spice/oil mixture. 
  4. Spread the nuts evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Stir at the halfway point. 
  5. Remove the dish from the oven and stir before letting the nuts sit for about an hour to cool. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
